Man found seriously injured on Saint John street

Saint John police are investigating after a man was found unconscious and seriously injured on an uptown street.

First responders were called to the 100 block of Exmouth Street shortly before 1 a.m. Wednesday.

“Upon arrival, a man was observed face down and unconscious,” police said in a news release on Friday.

The victim, identified as a 51-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with what were described as serious injuries.

Detectives from the police force’s major crime unit continue to investigate the incident.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who has video surveillance of the incident.
