Man Injured In North End Shooting

Saint John police say one man was taken to the hospital after an apparent shooting over the weekend.

In a news release, police say they received several reports of a shot being fired in the north end shortly before 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

Officers arrived at a home on Taylor Avenue, off MacLaren Boulevard, to find a man with injuries that are not considered to be life-threatening, according to the release.

No further details about the victim have been released at this time.

The force’s Major Crime Unit is continuing to look into the incident.
