Man Seriously Injured In Crash

Police say a man is in hospital with serious injuries after a vehicle left the road and hit a pole in east Saint John.

Sgt. Rick Caswell said they were called to the 2200-block of Loch Lomond Road around 7:15 a.m. Saturday.

Caswell said the driver, who is around 40 years old, was the only person in the vehicle at the time.

He said speed and alcohol may have been factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.
