A manhunt is underway in Maine for a 35 year old man after a series of shootings last night.
Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Stephen McCausland says Anthony Lord from Houlton is wanted after 4 people were shot in 3 separate communities.
“Our best guess is that Lord has stolen a pulp truck in Lee, Maine and that we are searching not only State Police but all Maine law enforcement to locate the truck and/or Lord,” says McCausland.
There is no word yet on the condition of the victims, or their connection to the suspect.
McCausland says while US Border Patrol is on the lookout for Lord, there isn’t believed to be any Canadian connection despite the shootings taking place with 20 to 30 miles of the border.
He does say Lord is considered armed and dangerous, and he is 5’9″ tall, weighs 263 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes.
Lord is also a registered sex offender.
The search is currently centered on Lee, Maine (as pictured, photo courtesy of Google Maps.)
