March is Fraud Prevention Month and the Financial and Consumer Services Commisison have methods to help you avoid being the victim of a scam.
Senior Education Co-ordinator Marissa Sallows tells us fraud prevention is job #1 for the commission.

The Canadian Securites Administrators have found that people who loss money in a scam often retreat from social situations and some have even lost a job because of it.
In Atlantic Canada, 32 per cent of fraud victims say that stopped taking part in social events because they lost money in a scam and 21 per cent experienced job loss.
