Marigolds Mural In North End Being Repainted On Saturday

If you’re going to be around the North end at all on Saturday then you’re likely going to notice some artistic activity.

Founder of the Marigold project Barry Ogden says the marigolds mural that runs from Paradise Row to the end of Main Street is going to be repainted and they’ve had about 80 to 90 volunteers sign up for the project.

He expects to be able to refurbish the mural in one day.

The mural itself is 300 feet long and four feet high, it was done by 300 high school students in 1999.

Ogden says it has faded over time mostly due to the winters.
