Maritime Volunteers Heading To Quebec To Help With Flood Relief Efforts

The Canadian Red Cross is sending help from the Maritimes to support thousands of people who have been impacted by flooding in Quebec.

Personnel will be sent out today and includes Louise Carson of Saint John, Denis Cormier of Dieppe and Prince Edward Island Provincial Director Laura Johnson-Montigny of Charlottetown.

Thousands have been forced from their homes due to flooding and some of the volunteers in Quebec have been working around the clock for almost two weeks.

The volunteers from our region are being sent to help relieve those volunteers.

More help from the Atlantic region is expected in the next few days.

The Canadian Red Cross is also raising money to help those severely impacted by flooding.
