Dolly Parton was named one of the 2022 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees on Wednesday (May 4), and after initially calling for her nomination to be withdrawn, the country legend has accepted the honor. She released a statement on social media on Wednesday afternoon: “I am honored and humbled by the fact that I have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame,” Parton writes. “Of course I will accept it gracefully. Thanks to everyone that voted for me and to everyone at the @rockhall. I will continue to work hard and try to live up to the honor. Parton will be inducted into the Performer category along with Pat Benatar, Duran Duran, Eminem, Eurythmics, Lionel Richie and Carly Simon

Granger Smith is educating parents about Infant Swim Rescue (ISR) survival swimming lessons because he says it’s something he was unaware of when his 3-year-old son, River, drowned in 2019.
Maverick, who is Granger’s youngest son, was born in August 2021, and at 8 months old, he’s already completed 10 ISR lessons.
“He can barely crawl, but now he knows how to hold his breath, twist his body, find the air, float on his back, and cry,” Smith notes. “He can do this falling in head first, feet first or any orientation. He has the skills to float until help comes.”
