Mayor Mel Norton Says Montreal Mayor Should Get Off “Hypocritical High Horse”

Mayor Mel Norton says Montreal Mayor Denis Coderre should get off his hypocritical high horse after he officially opposed the 15 billion dollar Energy East pipeline project last week.

Norton says Coderre should stop getting in the way of economic prosperity for Atlantic Canada, especially after Montreal just dumped roughly 10 billion litres of raw sewage into the St. Lawrence River.

He says if Coderre wants to be dependant on transfer payments from the rest of Canada that’s his business, but Atlantic Canada wants to be prosperous and successful.

Norton calls the Energy East pipeline project an opportunity to play a role in building Atlantic Canada, an opportunity he says hasn’t been around in over 100 years

Common Council has made their informal request for more information related to the Energy East project public, you can see it by clicking here:http://bit.ly/1nLv3Qm
