When travelling in East Saint John recently you may have noticed changes at the old Sears store.
Demolition is underway at the back of the store making way for newly configured retail space.
The work will allow for 100,000 square feet of new space adding several large format retailers.
The exterior will be updated, and a new common area will be designed to provide access from the inside to the new stores.
Construction will be phased in over the next 12 to 24 months with the new retailers opening by 2021.
