The medical marijuana business sector is coming closer to reality in Bordertown.
Tidal Health Solutions, a medical marijuana producer, has sent a letter to St. Stephen Town Council, advising them that as of April 13th of 2018, they have been issued the License to Cultivate by Health Canada for their site in the Industrial Park, at 53 Progress Drive.
Activities under the license include production, sale, possession, shipping and transportation, delivery and destruction for dried cannabis and cannabis plants.
In 2014, former St. Stephen Mayor John Quartermain wrote a letter of endorsement for Tidal Health Solutions in order for them to apply for the license. Officials say if there are any changes to the license, Town Council would be notified within thirty days of the change.
An official opening date for Tidal Health Solutions has not been set yet.
