On Monday, the Bloom Crew was busy preparing the gardens at the Cancer Support Centre, and what a beautiful day it was.
Volunteers, cancer survivors, patients, and supporters came together to plant, tidy, connect, and celebrate the incredible community that surrounds the Centre. Afterwards, everyone gathered for a lovely lunch in the communal kitchen, sharing stories, laughter, and friendship.
The gardens are more than just a beautiful space. For many, they offer a peaceful place to reflect, learn, share, connect with others who understand, or simply enjoy a cup of tea between appointments. They are an extension of the welcoming environment that makes the Cancer Support Centre such a special place.
Through the Dr. Margot Burnell Cancer Support Program, individuals living with cancer, survivors, caregivers, and family members have access to free programs and services that support their emotional, social, and practical well-being throughout the cancer journey.

Most importantly, these programs are 100% donor funded. Every program, support group, workshop, and welcoming space is made possible through the generosity of our community.
Thank you to everyone who spent the day helping our gardens bloom. Your kindness helps create a place where hope, healing, and connection can flourish.
