Millions Tune In To Watch Tragically Hip’s Last Show Of Summer Tour

It was a huge night for Canadians on Saturday night as they rallied behind the Tragically Hip on the last night of their Man Machine Poem tour.

According to Numeris, almost 12 million people tuned in to watch or listen to the Tragically Hip on Saturday night on CBC.

The concert was broadcast commercial free.

The concert was also streamed 900, 000 times.

The Tragically Hip went out on a summer tour in August, after announcing that their lead singer Gord Downie is suffering from terminal brain cancer.

Fans took to social media after the performance expressing their gratitude and their admiration for the band, stating how incredible it was that Canadians could come together.

That included the Prime Minister who attended Saturday night’s show in Kingston, Ontario.
