Minto Residents Can Shop For Their Groceries Closer To Home Again

Minto residents no longer have to drive to Chipman, Fredericton or Oromocto to buy their groceries.

A temporary Foodland is now open on Main Street in the village just over two months after the only grocery store burned to the ground.

According to a posting on Facebook, Sobeys will be opening a new permanent location as soon as possible and that could be from 6 to 8 months.

The temporary store is about a quarter of the size of the store that was destroyed at 32 hundred square feet.
