Missing Dementia Patient Found Uptown

A woman with dementia who went missing from the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday has been safely located.

Saint John police said they got a call from the Horizon Health Network about a missing patient just before 5 p.m. Friday.

“Officers received a call from a homeowner in the uptown of Saint John that there was an elderly woman on her doorstep,” said Jim Hennessy, spokesperson for the police force, in an email.

Hennessy said officers identified the woman as the missing patient and she was returned to the hospital just after 6 p.m. Friday.
