Moncton Apartment Fire Displaces 12

The Moncton Fire Department responded to an apartment fire early this morning.

Platoon Chief Dennis Dollemont says they arrived at the 3-story building at 300 McLaughlin Road at 12:05 a.m. on Saturday.

He says a fire on a balcony at the rear of the building was quickly extinguished.

The Canadian Red Cross is helping over a dozen people who have been displaced by the incident.

Dollemont says the cause of the fire is under investigation but they don’t believe it to be suspicious.
