Moncton man charged after 2 horses found dead

Criminal charges have been laid after two horses were found dead in eastern New Brunswick.

The New Brunswick SPCA (NBSPCA) opened its investigation in the Notre-Dame area back in November.

Officials said two horses were found dead and four others were “alive but in poor condition.”

On Friday, NBSPCA announced a 30-year-old Moncton man is charged with two counts under the Criminal Code of Canada.

The matter has been scheduled for provincial court in February.

“No further details are available at this time,” NBSPCA said in a news release.
