A Moncton man with nearly two dozen outstanding warrants has been arrested in Nova Scotia.
Nova Scotia RCMP said officers stopped a minivan travelling in Mount William, near New Glasgow, around 1 a.m. on July 20.
“During the stop, RCMP officers learned that the driver of the vehicle, a 45-year-old-man from Moncton, was in possession of stolen property,” police said in a news release on Tuesday.
Mounties said officers seized more than $10,000 in stolen property from the vehicle. It is also alleged that the driver was in possession of a “small amount” of methamphetamine.
“The man, who had 22 arrest warrants outstanding out of the Province of New Brunswick, was remanded in custody,” said the release.
He will appear in Pictou provincial court to face charges of possession of property obtained by crime and possession of a substance.
