Justin Turner hit a walkoff three run homer with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning off John Lackey to give the Los Angeles Dodgers a 4-1 win over the Chicago Cubs and a 2 games to nothing lead in the National League championship series. The walkoff homer was hit 29 years to the day Kirk Gibson of the Dodgers hit a walkoff homer in the World Series against reliever Dennis Eckersley of the Oakland A’s. That was the last time the Dodgers won the World Series.

A Moncton high school football team, the École L’Odyssée Olympiens, was forced to forfeit after 9 players sustained head injuries in a game against Tantramar.
The Harbour View High Junior Varsity girls soccer team clinched first place in the Southern Conference Playoff defeating Saint John High in a double shoot out.
The Harbour View High Field Hockey team defeated Sussex High and Rothesay-Netherwood over the weekend and is in first place in the southern region.
