Progressive Conservative MLA and child protection critic Dorothy Shephard is shocked after learning of the deaths of more than 50 children from unnatural causes while in care.
The deaths over the past two decades have not been made public by a review committee.
Shephard says there has to be more accountability.
She says by not talking about the issues we are dealing with, problems can continue without real action being taken and it’s time for that to stop.
She says the deaths of vulnerable children should be a non-partisan issue with no political overtones.
