Voters now have an easier way to find out more about the candidates who will be running in the May elections.
Spokesperson for Elections New Brunswick Paul Harpelle says they’ve added a new feature that they feel will be helpful for voters, “We’re allowing the candidates to provide us with some form of contact information, whether it be a Facebook account, a website or an email. This will be featured along with the names of the candidates.”
Harpelle says they came up with this idea after the last election, “People wanted to find out more information about who was running before they went to vote, so they came up with this idea. This helps to make candidates more visible and accessible.”
