An updated vaccine plan says Canada will get 1-million Pfizer doses each week until the Spring.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says it’s encouraging news because every dose makes a difference.
“We have shared these updated delivery schedules with the provinces and territories. This is so they can continue to plan for mass vaccination sites to get you and your family protected as soon as possible,” he says.
The higher volumes of doses will arrive between March 22nd and May 1st.
Trudeau says one of his top priorities is making sure nobody misses out on the vaccine.
“This includes Indigenous communities, which are particularly vulnerable to the virus. Vaccination is underway in over 530 Indigenous communities and the Territories,” he adds.
