Most Atlantic Canadians Satisfied With Trudeau Liberals – Poll

If a federal election was called today, 59 percent of Atlantic Canadians say they would support the Liberals which is down slightly from the last quarter according to a poll by Corporate Research Associates.

Meantime, support for the Conservatives was steady at 24 percent, the NDP captured 13 percent and the Green Party barely registered at 3 percent.

Despite a small decline, Liberal leader Justin Trudeau continues to be preferred as prime minister while support was stable for interim Conservative leader Rona Ambrose at 16 percent just before Andrew Scheer became permanent leader.

The survey also shows that 61 percent of Atlantic Canadians are satisfied with the performance of the Trudeau government which is down slightly from February.

The remainder are either dissatisfied or offered no opinion.

CRA polled 1511 Atlantic Canadian adults during the month of May.
