Most Of Us Can`t Afford To Save For Retirement

Saving for retirement is a big problem for tens of thousands of working Canadians.

An Ipsos-Reid survey for the Canadian Federation of Independent Business shows almost two thirds can’t afford to save.

Dan Kelly of the Canadian Federation of Independent Business says a new survey shows only 19 percent would pump money into the CPP as an investment.

The survey indicates if workers could find the extra cash, they’d rather put it into RRSP’s, TFSA’s or private investments.
