Municipal byelections taking place on Monday

Some New Brunswickers will be heading to the polls again on Monday.

Municipal byelections are taking place in 10 communities throughout the province.

In Saint John, there are 11 people running for a vacant council seat in Ward 3.

The seat was left vacant after David Hickey was elected as an MLA in September’s provincial election.

There are also byelections taking place for council seats in Fundy-St. Martins (Ward 1) and Valley Waters (Ward 4).

Polls will be open from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. with results expected to come in shortly after that.

You can find more details, including the full list of candidates and polling locations, on Elections NB’s website.
