Municipal Parks Can Remain Open During Pandemic

Some good news for those who enjoy municipal parks.

With the recent closure of both provincial parks and national parks given the pandemic, many had questions about whether municipal parks should still be open.

The City of Saint John says it has received clarification from the province that city parks, trails and green spaces can remain open.

However, physical distancing guidelines must still be followed by keeping at least two metres away from others and no gatherings are permitted.

As a reminder, playground structures remain closed for sanitary reasons.
