Musquash Man Still Missing One Year Later

Thursday marks one year since a 76-year-old man from the community of Musquash, west of Saint John, went missing.

Paul Doughty was last seen at a business near McKay Loop Road and Route 175 in the Pennfield area on Aug. 18, 2021.

Search teams found Doughty’s vehicle abandoned on a trail about 10 kilometres northeast of McKay’s Wild Blueberries 12 days later.

“Each report of a missing person is taken very seriously by the New Brunswick RCMP,” Sgt. Luc Samson of Grand Bay-Westfield RCMP said in a news release on Thursday.

“This remains an active investigation, our priority is to locate Paul Doughty and bring answers to his family, his loved ones and his community.”
