N.B. Adds 11 Cases; Active Cases Surpass 40

Public Health has discovered 11 new cases of COVID-19 in New Brunswick over the last two days.

The cases were discovered across four regions in the province.

The six cases in Zone 1 (Moncton region) are as follows:

  • three people 20-29;
  • an individual 30-39; and
  • two people 40-49.

Of these, five cases are under investigation and one is travel-related.

The three cases in Zone 3 (Fredericton region) are as follows:

  • two people 19 and under; and
  • an individual 40-49.

All three cases are travel-related.

The one case in Zone 4 (Edmundston region) is an individual 50-59 and is travel-related.

The one case in Zone 5 (Campbellton region) is an individual 20-29 and is under investigation.

There are four new recoveries since last Friday, while the active caseload has risen to 44. New Brunswick has no hospitalizations related to COVID-19.

Vaccinations continued throughout the holiday weekend, although at a slowed pace. 68.1% of eligible New Brunswickers have now received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. First dose vaccinations remain stagnant, resting at 82.3% of New Brunswickers 12 and older.
