N.B. fuel prices dip slightly due to interrupter clause

The interrupter clause was implemented early Wednesday morning again, but it came with a bit of good news.

Price moved down, instead of up.

Before you get too excited, though, the New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board adjusted prices just a bit, not back to where prices were weeks ago.

The maximum price for regular self-serve is down 4.5 cents a litre to around $1.77.

Furnace oil dipped 7.2 cents to a maximum of $2.37.

Diesel decreased seven cents a litre, bringing the maximum down to around $2.45.

Regular weekly price adjustments by the Energy and Utilities Board will come on Friday at 12:01 am.
