N.B. Fuel Prices Plummet Overnight

New Brunswick drivers are getting an unexpected break at the fuel pumps.

The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board invoked its interrupter clause on Tuesday night.

Regular self-serve fell by 9.7 cents and is now selling for a maximum of $1.396 per litre.

The last time gas prices were this low in New Brunswick was back in early September.

The most you will now pay for diesel is $1.432 per litre, a drop of nine cents.

Most local stations are selling both fuels for a few cents less.

Furnace oil also fell by nine cents to a new maximum price of $1.252.

Propane prices held steady at a maximum of $1.24 per litre.

Fuel prices are usually reset every Wednesday night in New Brunswick.
