N.B. woman to compete on The Bachelor

A Maritime native will be vying for love on an American reality TV series this winter.

Alexe Godin, 27, is one of 25 women competing on the upcoming season of The Bachelor.

The 27-year-old pediatric speech therapist from Neguac, N.B., is fluent in French and loves to travel.

The latest bachelor is Grant Ellis, a contestant on the most recent season of The Bachelorette.

Ellis will go on dates with the women, eliminating some each week as he tries to find his true love.

The 29th season of The Bachelor premieres on Jan. 27.
