You can now explore nature in New Brunswick from the comfort of your own couch with the help of a smartphone or laptop.
The Nature Conservancy of Canada has launched virtual hikes which includes the coastal sites of the Musquash Estuary and Johnson’s Mills.
Kathryn Morse of the Atlantic branch says that this was a big project for them and that they went across the country with the Google Trekker last summer and to a few spots the summer before that.
The Google Trekker is a 50-pound backpack mounted, which enables it to go off road to places people wouldn’t normally see.
Morse says that they hope that once they take a look at these online, people will come see them in person.
