NB Legislature Adjourns As Campbellton Area MLAs Self-Isolate

After just two days back, the New Brunswick Legislature has adjourned.

Three MLAs from the Campbellton region were absent this morning, as a result of the recent cases of COVID-19 in Zone 5.

MLA for Campbellton-Dalhousie Guy Arsenault and MLA for Restigouche-West Gilles LePage released a statement on Facebook saying they have decided to return to their communities. They plan to self monitor and also inquire about getting tested for COVID-19.

They add they are not aware of any direct contact with the individuals who have contracted the virus.

Speaker Daniel Guitard, who is the MLA for Restigouche-Chaleur was also absent.

The Legislature will be back in session on June 9th, which gives the MLAs enough time to self isolate.
