The New Brunswick Coalition for Pay Equity putting pressure on the campaigning provincial Liberals and Tories to make clear commitments to ensure pay equity in the private sector.
The Liberals have promised to require firms that want to do business with government have established pay equity within their own organization while the Conservatives say they’ll ensure pay equity remains a priority in the private sector but without into any detail according to the group.
The NDP and Green Party have promised to adopt pay equity legislation for the private sector which is being welcomed by the coalition.
