The province is set to kick off its public review of NB Power with an online session that invites community input from across the province.
The information session will take place on Zoom this Wednesday at noon and will offer a detailed update on the review process.
Officials will outline the review progress and answer questions submitted in advance, with up to 5,000 participants joining on a first-come, first-served basis and simultaneous translation available.
The session offers New Brunswickers an opportunity to learn how the utility is planning for the future by discussing issues related to financial stability, governance, and customer service.
Three experts are leading the review process: energy executive Michael Bernstein, lawyer and former privacy commissioner Anne E. Bertrand, and internationally recognized utility expert Duncan Hawthorne.

Finance and Treasury Board Minister René Legacy emphasized that the review is structured to explore every possible option.
“We are open and allowing the three leads to explore all options to give us the best opportunity to get New Brunswick ready for the future,” Legacy said in a government release.
The review will continue through the fall with an interim report planned for the end of 2025 and final recommendations expected by March 2026.
