NB Power is prepared if the number of power disruptions continues to rise, due to the high winds from this storm.
Conditions continue to worsen.
NB Power Spokesperson Marie Andre Bolduc says they made plans and preparations in advance of this storm, “We have 20 additional Contractor crews on top of our regular crews, as well as damage assessment teams and logistical teams, so we are obviously monitoring this weather pattern.”
She says there is a concern that if conditions get too treacherous, crews won’t be able to make repairs, until the weather begins to improve, “We’ll have to wait for the weather system to pass for them to actually be able to go out on the roads and access the site. That is obviously always a concern.”
