The third Saturday in September has been proclaimed as Becca Schofield Day in New Brunswick.
The official opposition introduced the motion in the legislature and MLA’s gave it unanimous approval.
The motion recognizes 17-year-old Becca Schofield of Riverview for her efforts to encourage acts of kindness and goodwill.
The motion also encouraged residents to continue posting their kind acts on social media by using #BeccaToldMeTo.
After being diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, Becca Schofield launched the campaign as one of the items on her bucket list.
Premier Brian Gallant says Becca is an amazing person who has shown us that even small acts of kindness can make a real difference.
