UPDATED: NBNU Bargaining Units Vote To Accept Tentative Agreement

NBNU Nurses Part III bargaining unit voted to accept the most recent tentative agreement.

It was reached with a “yes” vote of 56 per cent.

“I am pleased that a collective agreement has been ratified,” said NBNU President, Paula Doucet in a release.

“This is the first step in improving the work and personal lives of nurses in New Brunswick, however, I recognize that the poor working conditions and retention and recruitment won’t be fixed overnight. They will remain priority issues for NBNU” continued Doucet.

Meantime, on Dec. 20, the Nurse Manager and Nurse Supervisor bargaining unit voted to accept the most recent tentative agreement as well.

It was reached with a “yes” vote of 79 per cent.
