Nearly 100 Health Care Workers Off At Saint John Regional

Staffing resources are being spread thin at the Saint John Regional Hospital (SJRH) due to COVID-19.

Horizon Health says 95 health care workers are currently off the job due to COVID-related reasons.

“We also have confirmed exposures in the Emergency Department, 3CN and 4CN,” Margaret Melanson, vice-president of Quality and Patient-Centred Care for Horizon, said in a statement.

Melanson said patients are being placed on isolation as a precaution, adding no outbreaks have been declared.

“While staffing resources are thin at SJRH, there has been no disruption to services,” she added.
