New Brunswick Holds Its Course On COVID-19

More reminders from the New Brunswick government about helping to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

The 120 cases diagnosed in the province have all recovered. Over 20,500 tests have been done to date.

Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Jennifer Russell, says it is important in the current orange phase, that New Brunswickers stay in their two household bubble and maintain the two metres of physical distance.

She also advises that if physical distancing cannot be maintained, residents should wear face masks that cover your mouth and nose.

Wash your hands regularly, avoid touching your face.

You should also clean commonly touched surfaces in your home, such as doorknobs and countertops.

Russell says you should also continue to monitor for symptoms including, fever, a new cough, sore throat, runny nose, headache, fatigue, and loss of taste or sense of smell.

If you have children, watch for purple markings on fingers or toes.

If you have any of the symptoms, you should contact Tele-Care 811 or family doctor.
