New Brunswick launches enhanced wildfire information source

A new and improved wildfire dashboard was launched in New Brunswick Monday.

In a release, Natural Resources Minister John Herron said the dashboard and Fire Watch were vital resources for New Brunswickers and wildfire management partners during the 2025 wildfire season.

“These tools empower residents with real-time updates and critical information to stay informed and prepared,” Herron said.

Along with an enhanced Fire Watch website, the new dashboard will provide real-time information on fires around the province.

It consolidates information from the wildfire management branch to provide updates as fires occur.

The upgrades were developed based on feedback from staff, government partners and external stakeholders collected in surveys and engagement sessions.

The intent is to make wildfire information more easily accessible and user-friendly.
