A commemorative coin issued by the Royal Canadian Mint earlier this year upset local veterans including members of the Dieppe Military Veterans Association.
The coin depicted the Battle of Dieppe instead of the Dieppe Raid.
Moncton-Riverview-Dieppe M-P Ginette Petitpas Taylor says she heard the concerns and she’s now working with the Mint and veterans on a new coin depicting the Dieppe Raid.
The Mint is expected to issue a new fine silver coin sometime next year.
