New federal ridings for some N.B. residents

Some New Brunswickers will be voting in different ridings in this federal election.

New federal electoral boundaries were approved and took effect in late 2023.

The City of Saint John, which used to be in the same riding, has been split into two.

West side residents are now part of Saint John-St. Croix, which used to be known as New Brunswick Southwest.

The rest of the city remains in Saint John-Kennebecasis — formerly Saint John-Rothesay — which has expanded to include Quispamsis.

Electoral boundaries are readjusted every 10 years following the decennial census to reflect changes and movements in Canada’s population.
