New Health Canada Regulations Will Permit Canadians To Grow Their Own Pot

New regulations that will allow those authorized by a doctor, to grow their own marihuana, will come into effect later this month.

Health Canada made the announcement yesterday.

Under the new Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations, Individuals wishing to produce a limited amount of cannabis for their own medical purposes, or to designate someone else to, will need to obtain authorization from their health care practitioner and register with Health Canada.

The new regulations take effect August 24th.
