New Outdoor Skating Rink Open To The Public In St. George

St. George now has its very own outdoor skating rink.

One of the organizers, Troy Morton, says St. George Town Council approved the rink to be build in Town limits last Monday, and they got right to work.

Morton says they chose to build the rink at the Magaguadavic Place, and started on Tuesday night.

He says through social media and word of mouth, plenty of volunteers came out to help with the build, and everything was completed by Sunday.

He also commends the St. George Fire Department, who came out and ran water all week for the ice.

Morton adds the new rink is now open for the public to use at any time.

He says if anyone has any extra skates or helmets, they are currently looking for donations for any children who do not have any. If you would like to donate, you can drop them off at the St. George Town Hall.
