New Brunswick’s chief medical officer of health has announced three more locations where residents may have been exposed to a case of measles.
The individual was working in greater Moncton before flying to Montreal, where they were diagnosed.
Individuals were potentially exposed to the measles if they:
- were at the Pita Pit on Dieppe Blvd between 4:30 and 7 p.m. on Sept. 19;
- were using an Air Cab taxi between 6 and 8 p.m. on Sept 19; or
- were at the McDonalds on Dieppe Blvd between 7 and 10 p.m. on Sept. 19.

A previous alert noted the affected individual was at the Dieppe Holiday Inn Express and Suites on Sept. 19 and 20, the Greater Moncton Roméo LeBlanc International Airport on Sept. 20, and on Air Canada Flight 8903 from Moncton to Montreal, which departed at 11:15 a.m. on Sept. 20.
The measles virus is transmitted through the air or by direct contact with an infected person.
If you have been exposed, you may already have symptoms, or they may develop between now and October 11.
Anyone who was at these locations during these times and feels they have symptoms consistent with measles should isolate themselves by staying home and avoid all contact with anyone who has not been immunized.
Call your health-care provider or 811 before visiting a clinic or hospital to ensure precautions are in place to protect other patients.
