Trevor Georgie is the new President of the Saint John Sea Dogs and says the interview process was the most “mentally, physically and emotionally exhausting process” he’s been through in his career.
He says the interview process lasted months with close to 100 applicants and feels very privileged to be leading the Sea Dogs franchise.
Georgie calls Saint John the “perfect combination”, knowing the city and knowing how much hockey means to the people in the city.
He says he’s really enjoying the pace of life on the east coast, especially here in Saint John.
Georgie was born and raised in Mississauga, Ontario.
He brings a lot of experience to his new role with the Sea Dogs. He’s worked with the Windsor Spitfires, Florida Gators and is also a former senior manager of consulting at Wasserman Media Group, which is one of the world’s biggest sports agencies.
Georgie was most recently at Maple Leafs Sports Entertainment and says that’s where he really learned his craft, while working with former president & C.E.O Richard Peddie.
He says his goal is to create a team both on and off this off with well-rounded good people.
