The most significant community development to hit the north end in years……That’s what Portland-Simonds M-L-A Trevor Holder is saying as the official opening of the new “Y’ on Churchill Boulevard took place over the weekend.
He adds it sends a strong message to the people living in that part of town that the community, as a whole, will not abandon them.
Holder says it may take a few years but he foresees retail development emerging because that’s what happened in other parts of the country where Y’s have been built, pointing to Winnipeg as a prime example.
