No major increases are expected at the fuel pumps in New Brunswick this week.
Gasoline prices in Ontario jumped 14 cents Wednesday night, leaving many concerned we could see a similar increase.
But an industry source says gasoline prices will remain stable when the Energy and Utilities Board resets prices on Thursday night.
For those who use diesel in their vehicle, the price is expected to drop by around two cents, according to the source.
Currently, New Brunswickers are paying a maximum of $1.85 per litre for regular self-serve, $1.88 per litre for diesel, and $1.55 per litre for home heating oil.
In Nova Scotia, regular self-serve ranges from $1.75 to $1.79 per litre while diesel is selling for between $1.89 and $1.94 per litre.
On Prince Edward Island, the price for regular self-serve is around $1.73 per litre, diesel costs around $1.91 per litre, and home heating oil is selling for a maximum of $1.37 per litre.
The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board adjusts prices every Friday at 12:01 a.m.
