No More Major Snowstorms For At Least A Little While

A little ray of hope for Saint Johners from Environment Canada after a downright brutal winter season.

Meteorologist Mike Campbell tells us this latest winter storm that’s currently taking its toll on Moncton and other areas in eastern New Brunswick – but is pretty much missing the Port City – will be the last major snowstorm for us for a while. As well, he says looking ahead to Thursday he can see a fairly strong southwesterly flow starting to develop which will bring in milder temperatures.

Campbell says as of this morning there were about 5 to 6 centimetres of fresh snow on the ground in Saint John. Areas like Moncton and Kent County, however, should see around 15 centimetres of snow in total fall and blowing snow expected to reduce visibility.
